KUNDALINI YOGA CLASSES
Living To Your Highest Potential
Make space in your busy schedule for relaxation and self growth
time. Known as the Mother of all Yogas, Kundalini Yoga
incorporates stretching, breathing, meditation and relaxation.
This yoga is more aerobic and at times more vigorous than other
yogas, providing you with stress reduction, relaxation,
inner growth and expansion, and also a great workout.
Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, was brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan in 1968. Yogi Bhajan taught that, through the practice of Kundalini Yoga and meditation, your glandular and nervous systems are stimulated, and your capacity for creative potential is heightened. You gain inner vitality to compensate for the adverse effects of stress so you can excel in life. Find more information about Kundalini Yoga in this article.
LADIES NIGHT OUT
Taught by Mukta Khalsa, this class is a wonderful opportunity to experience Kundalini Yoga in an intimate setting with other women. In addition to experiencing the wonderful benefits of yoga, breathing and meditation, you'll have a chance to experience "Peanut Hour".
The best way to deal with stress is to share your problems, feel heard and understood. It is important to have a circle of friends in which you can do this. The age-old term "peanut hour" comes from the therapeutic practice of Indian women getting together in the afternoon for tea and peanuts - an activity that a woman can not do without.
Mukta has taught thousands of students Kundalini Yoga since 1974 in a variety of classroom settings including colleges, universities and private studios. She received a B.A. from Smith College in Eastern Religion and a minor in Education. Her knowledge of the body is enhanced by her years of practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist. She holds the Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Certification having taught over 5000 hours of yoga.
