Step 3: "Reset Your Aura Daily"
Step 4: "The Power of Water"
Step 5: "Reduce Your Stress"
Step 6: "Exercise"
Step 7: "Food"
Step 8: "Structural Care"
Step 9: "Goals and Dreams"
Step 9: Goals and Dreams
Sometimes we are tired and unmotivated
because we don’t know what to do. By changing what and how you think,
you can have increased energy and vitality.
Think back to the last vacation you took.
Even though you had to get up at 4:00 a.m. to catch that plane, because
you were excited about the trip you had a mysterious, almost unlimited
amount of energy.
Goals give you direction. Direction
creates enthusiasm (enthusiasm comes from the Greek for “God within”).
Enthusiasm leads to action. Action leads to success. Goals,
direction, enthusiasm, action and success all equate to increased energy!
Setting and attaining goals is a simple process.
The first and often hardest step is deciding what you want. Create
a dream list of all the things you want in life: CAREER, FINANCIAL,
MENTAL, HEALTH, HOME, SOCIAL, LOVE, FAMILY, SPIRITUAL. Write down
whatever you want however unattainable it might seem. (If you knew
you could have whatever you earnestly desired, what would it be?)
As an example, one dream of mine that appears
"impossible" is to go into space. Although I don’t know how this dream
will manifest, I continually read the goal and visualize it happening.
The result? People send me information on the future of space travel
because they know about my goal--someday someone will send me just the
right information!
After you've made your lists in all areas
of your life, pick out the most important one or two from each group.
Convert your dreams into a goals by writing them down in clear, vivid detail:
not "I want to feel better” but “I have excellent health because I eat
light, wholesome foods, exercise 30 minutes 5 times per week, and meditate
daily”.
Then, you must DAILY:
1. VISUALIZE Every day,
for at least 5 to 10 minutes see and feel the experience of already having
your goal (enjoying it, being it, having it, doing it). See it now.
2. AFFIRM Make up a sentence
that describes you already in possession of your goal:
I AM NOW...(financially independent)
I AM NOW ENJOYING (my vacation)
I NOW HAVE...(radiant health with unlimited
energy)
3. DISPLACE Throughout the day
when negative thoughts (I can't do it, I'm not worth it) enter your mind,
displace them with the appropriate affirmation--I NOW HAVE...
4. ACTION Take an action
step on each goal--make a phone call to find out more information about
your goal, read books pertaining to your goal, read the goal itself out
loud to yourself 3 or 4 times each day, cut out pictures of your goal and
make a paste-up book or bulletin board.
5. GRATITUDE At the end
of your daily goal setting, give thanks for already having reached your
goal before you have it in hand--THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, FOR THE
ABUNDANCE THAT IS NOW MINE! Constantly and consistently live in an
attitude of gratitude.
This process is sure to create an unstoppable
enthusiasm and will develop the burning desire that insures the attainment
of your goal.
IF YOU THINK YOU CAN OR THINK YOU CAN’T YOU’RE
RIGHT
Bonus Tip
Tape It
Let your subconscious help you to succeed.
Create an audio tape with soothing, uplifting
music in the background. The tape should be you talking to yourself,
reading your goals stated in the present. For example “I NOW have
complete, vibrant, health, full of energy to accomplish all I desire”.
Be sure to include statements about who you
must become to accomplish your goals. “I am an action person.
I am a self starter”.
Using an auto reverse tape player, turn the
volume down to almost the lowest setting and play this tape all night long.
Watch how quickly you achieve your goals!
Herbs and Nutrition for
Health
Cayenne
Our herb this month is cayenne. Years
ago I was privileged to study with Dr. John Christopher, one of this century’s
truly great herbalists. Dr. Christopher always said if he could only
use one herb it would be cayenne.
Is it safe? I have personally used
an eye formula recommended by Dr. Christopher directly in my eyes
many times!
Traditional uses for cayenne include stomach
problems (used raw) including gas and cramping. Simply take 1/4 teaspoon
(more as your tolerance increases) and mix it in some water and gulp it
down. Too hot? Get cayenne in capsules in the health food store.
Cayenne is one of the best friends to your
circulatory system. It drives blood throughout the body, lowers high
blood pressure, and can help lower cholesterol levels.
Dr. Christopher always recommended pouring
cayenne directly onto severe cuts and wounds to stop the flow of bleeding
(it does burn!).
With skin problems including shingles and
psoriasis, apply a cream made with cayenne (available at your local health
food store). The active ingredient in cayenne (capsaicin) depletes
the area’s Substance P which carries pain and itching messages from the
nerve endings in the skin to the central nervous system. Use the
cream judiciously: about 20% of people experience burning sensations
at first which, with continued application, usually subside within 72 hours.
Cayenne cream is also useful in joint problems
like bursitis, arthritis and fibromyalgia.
Cayenne is one of the highest sources of
vitamin C and also contains vitamin E and carotenoids. Carotenoids
are a special group of anti-oxidants that give fruits and vegetables their
red and yellow and orange colors. Carotenoids have been linked with
decreased cancer risks.
As with all herbs, use cayenne with common
sense. Too much is too much! Start using cayenne (internally
or externally) a little at a time and slowly increase your dose based
on your tolerance.

Bonus Herbal Tip
Do you get cold easily? Try 1/8 to
1/4 teaspoon of cayenne. In your socks!!!! It will potentially
stain the socks but it will warm your whole body.
