Golden Milk

One way to aid your body in keeping the joints lubricated and mobile is to periodically drink GOLDEN MILK.  In India there is a saying that “when your spine gets stiff, you get old and senile.”  In other words, mobility, fluidity, and “movability” are equated with your health. GOLDEN MILK aids the circulation of the body, is one of the most potent anti-inflammatories known, and the latest research indicates that turmeric is an excellent anti-cancer agent.

 

1/8 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 cup water
8 oz. milk (rice milk, hemp milk, coconut milk or almond milk also work)
2 tablespoons almond oil
Honey to taste

 


Boil the turmeric in water for 8 minutes.  If it starts to evaporate too fast add a small bit more water.  Meanwhile, bring the milk to a boil with the almond oil.  As soon as it boils, turn it off.  Blend the two mixtures and add honey to taste.  For frothy variation, try whizzing it in a blender for 30 seconds.  Let it sit for about 30 minutes before drinking.  Depending on your tolerance to milk, drink 1 cup every day or every other day until you feel looser and your joints stop popping and cracking.
